Mary’s desire to harness media to contribute beneficially to society has found expression in a variety of genres including documentaries, lifestyle programs, scripted series and most recently, children’s content and a motion picture. Perhaps her most significant contribution is the hit series Little Mosque on the Prairie, which set audience records as the world’s first Muslim sitcom. The series aired in over 120 countries and is the subject of a variety of academic studies and news features on the potential of media to eliminate prejudice.

Mary believes that those in media have a responsibility to foster hope, understanding and inclusivity. As a Baha'i, she works to accompany others, particularly youth and women, as they find their path of service in the fields of production and storytelling.
