Ambassador to Humanity — Episode 9: The Exemplar for Today

On 28 November 1921, just over a century ago, Abdu’l-Baha passed away at the age of 77, at his home in Haifa, Palestine (now Israel). His funeral was unlike any that Palestine had ever seen. 

Ten thousand grieving mourners of many diverse religions and races followed Abdu’l-Baha’s coffin up Mount Carmel to its chosen resting place. Voices were raised in tribute from Christian, Jewish and Muslim leaders; written testimonials poured in from all over the world.  

Although Abdu’l-Baha had passed from this physical world, all attested that his influence would endure for centuries. His vision of a united Earth and one human family, they all proclaimed, would inspire countless generations to come.

This ninth and final episode in our Ambassador to Humanity podcast series reflects on the passing of this unique personality as well as the legacy of his life of sacrificial service for humankind today.
