Alan Manifold is a passionate supporter of the infusion of arts into all aspects of the Baha'i community. He and his wife Lorraine started the Melbourne Baha'i choir, Perfect Chord, and have also organised several Australian Baha'i Choral Festivals. Alan has composed numerous pieces for choir and is the author of the first-ever Baha'i mystery novel, Consulting Detective.
