Talley

Dr. Barbara Talley is a lifelong servant dedicated to humanity. In 1989, she formed a chapter for the Institute for Healing Racism, which continued for a decade. She was named the 2015 Maryland Mother of the Year. She founded and led the Maryland chapter of American Mothers Inc., served on the first Board of Directors for Women Who Care Ministries, and currently serves on the Board for Our House.

 

Her community impact spans over 35 years, impacting thousands of individuals across 22 countries and 44 states. Recognized by prestigious entities, she has developed daily, monthly, and yearly programs aimed at uniting and healing BIPOC individuals. As an entrepreneur, keynote speaker (with 30 years of membership in the National Speakers Association), trainer, prolific poet, publisher and author of six books, and educator, Dr. Talley has taught on topics including negativity bias, diversity, leadership, conflict resolution, effective communications, emotional intelligence, CliftonStrengths, Tracom's Social Styles, Agility, Resilience, Behavior EQ Models, Appreciative Inquiry, HeartMath, and the neuroscience of change. Her expertise has been shared with local, state, and federal governments, as well as in the private sector. She also taught at Montgomery College for over 25 years.

 

As the conference and event planner, Dr. Talley offered hundreds of hours of programming to the Arise Pupil of the Eye Movement, Black and Native Unity, and Foundation Hall University. Between 2020 and 2024, she created and continues to maintain a free online university, Foundation Hall University, focused on eliminating racial prejudice, which she identifies as the most pressing issue facing the world today.
