Faith Holmes has worked in the field of race relations for over 30yrs. She started working to fight racism at a very young age. At 18, was asked to serve on a race unity committee in Chicago and was responsible for creating programs that brought diverse people together to work toward unity. While working on the Race Unity Committee, she started working with Dr. Joy DeGruy, which greatly impacted her views. During that time she majored in African American Studies and Psychology, knowing the only way to eliminate racism is to know our true history and the psychological impact racism has had. Holmes then co-founded Oneness, a national non-profit organization committed to ending racism and promoting the oneness of humanity through music, the arts and education. While she was the ED of Oneness (2000 to 2007), she produced an annual awards show (spanning 5yrs), an exclusive fundraiser at Michael Jackson’s Neverland Ranch, the Songwriters Summit for Oneness and the executive production of a Musical CD, titled Oneness, Songs of Hope and Unity. Oneness developed and produced over 100 programs during her 7yr tenure. Following Oneness she moved to Washington DC where she became an entrepreneur opening a business at the DC Convention Center, a few years later opened Love ‘n Faith Community Café, combining her greatest loves – bringing people together while serving delicious foods, a passion since childhood! Currently, Holmes is embarking on a new chapter that includes; meditation, the intersection of science and spirituality, writing and creating new content.
