How do I become Baha’i?

Kurt
Asplund

Kurt Asplund is a masters level psychotherapist in private practice in Washington state. His children’s book, Who is God? (now available on Amazon with illustrations by Kathryn Adebayo) is a sweet and thoughtful look at the spiritual life through a scientific lens.  In 1964 at age 11, Kurt was introduced to the Baha’i Faith by his parents and immediately set about telling his friends.  His efforts to spread the word about this progressive and transformative new religion has only increased over the years.  His play, A Perfect English Gentleman about the early persecutions of the Baha’is in Persia won the Drama Circle Award in 2003.  Kurt is also a singer-songwriter who composed the choral piece Sorrow Not taken from the writings of Baha’u’llah.  He and his wife Leslie, also a psychotherapist, have sung together over the entire course of their marriage of 38 years. They have two adult sons and a grandson of whom they are exceedingly proud.
