Nilufar Rezai, LPC, is an advocate for social justice, youth empowerment, and the social-emotional and spiritual education of children and adolescents. She holds a BA in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, an MSW from the University of Chicago-School of Social Service Administration, and a Type 73 certificate in School Counseling from DePaul University. Nilufar has worked for Chicago Public Schools since 2012 and held the positions School Counselor and Social and most recently Emotional Learning (SEL) Specialist. Since college, she has worked as a K-12 educator, teacher trainer, mental health professional, and curriculum designer, and presented at local, state, and international conferences. She is a member of ASCA, ISCA, ICSJ, the Council of Distinguished Educators for the Aspen Institute’s National Commission on Social, Emotional, and Academic Development and serves as a board member for “Organic Oneness” a Baha’i inspired non-profit organization.
