Sandra Tjitendero (1949-2015) found and embraced the Baha'i Faith in 1968 in the United States. With a background in cross-cultural communication, she has worked in adult education for over 30 years. Sandra married Dr. Mose Penaani Tjitendero, who went on to become the Founding Speaker of Namibia's national Parliament. Together they raised 11 children. Mrs. Tjitendero currently serves on the National Spiritual Assembly of the Baha'is of Namibia, as well as its Office of External Affairs. Sandra passed away on July 26, 2015 at the age of 66 in Chorin, Germany.
