Shirin Towfiq is an interdisciplinary artist working in performance, installation, textile, and socially-engaged art. Based in California, where she received her bachelor's in practice of art from the University of California Berkeley, Shirin is now pursuing her Masters of Fine Art from Stanford University. Her work deals with ideas of comfort versus discomfort, cultural identity, and placemaking.
