Iko, born in the Portuguese islands called the Azores, had the opportunity to volunteer at the Baha'i World Centre in Israel for 20 months before moving to the United Kingdom, where he is trying to learn how to contribute to the betterment of the world through his field of business management and through action in the local community. He is currently undertaking an MSc in Politics, Philosophy, and Management at Lancaster University.
