Peter Adriance has served as Representative for Sustainable Development in the U.S. Baha'i Office of Public Affairs since 1990. He has represented the Baha'i International Community and the Baha'is of the U.S. at numerous national and international fora on sustainable development issues. In 2009, he received the Interfaith Bridge Builder's Award from the Interfaith Conference of Metropolitan Washington DC "for his passionate commitment to inter-religious care for the earth.” He helped found and serves on the governing board of the International Environment Forum – a Baha'i-inspired organization addressing the environment and sustainable development.
