PRESENTED BY George Hatcher | Dec 21, 2017
13 MINS
What would it take to leave Earth forever and go live on a frozen rock like Mars? NASA Aeronautical engineer George Hatcher would like to find out. Since the age of 3, he has longed to go into space and discover new worlds. “The sky calls to us,” said Carl Sagan, and George wants to answer that call by being a representative of humanity on another planet. Quoting Baha’u’llah, the prophet and founder of the Baha’i Faith, George explains why. Listen to the podcast on SoundCloud.

George W. Hatcher is a NASA engineer at the Kennedy Space Center. As a guidance, navigation, and flight controls engineer he helped launch space shuttles from 2004 to 2011. George now consults on flight computers for launch vehicles such as Falcon 9, Pegasus, and Antares....

Sorry! I put one comment but since it sent me error messages I posted it a few more times.I beg your pardon. That was a dream. But then I read in a Persian dictionary (and Persian Wikipedia) that BAHRAM (-i-Varjavand) who is the Zoroastrian Saviour who is really Baha'ullah means the spirit of Mars. Also, BAHRAM is a word used in Persian for planet Mars instead of the Arabic word "Mirrikh".And another meaning of Bahram is [eternally] victorious/glorious which is also the meaning of Baha'. So I guess you going to Mars is really a prophecy come true, from the viewpoint ...of Persian mythology...Good Luck in your Mission. God the most Glorious bless you.

About 6 months ago, I dreamed I was elevated from the earth, high very high in the sky. There was another land there where I was put down.A Land with creatures like angels: It was heaven/Paradise, and it felt like being in love. Away from the earth and earthly desires. Elevated to a new land. I asked the ones there, where is this land? Let me know about it so that when I wake up I don't forget this heavenly joy within my heart. And they said this is the soul of Mars...

It's intriguing to human ears! Yeah indeed! But too much study brings confusion as much as without knowledge people perish and so a higher call to more study. But coincidence comes in if one thinks they are well versed in knowledge and find out it was false knowledge to begin with at first. George looks energetic and strong. Turn to Christ and let even higher zeal than this consume you in serving God and you will find much peace and fulfilment in Jesus than you could ever find in mass.! Shalom

Incredible! I also wanted to explore the planets as a child; as a teen I collected everything on the first moon walk, read so many books and articles over the years. Married had children and then I realised what a perfect planet that God chose for me to be on and raise my children. Oh, I still love to read and hear about space travel, but to go and live on Mars? No. I would sincerely miss extended family and friends, but also the beautiful animals and birds and to be able to walk barefoot in the sand and dig ...in the soil. To grow plants, and watch the seasons, and my grandchild grow. I will stay here and spread the word of Baha'u'llah as best I can. Blessing and thanks for this video.

We are a way for the universe to know itself. There's a singular mind throughout the cosmos, one Spirit, one Awakeness, shining through all beings, whether on earth or elsewhere, enjoying and exploring itself. Let's face it, the Creator is an Astronaut. "Maybe our destiny is to evolve, among the stars, into something beyond human, becoming enlightened beings , a cosmic consciousness, the mind of the universe" (Carl Sagan, Conversations with Carl Sagan)

My dear, where are we going? Will we escape from the death on Mars? No, still our greatest challenge is death. No scientist, engineer, politician, medical doctor, wealth people who provided for solution. Friends, beleive in Jesus who only provided for solution over 2000 years ago.
