Chris Kavelin has a PhD in Law on "The Protection of Indigenous Medical Knowledge: Transforming Law to Engage Indigenous Spiritual Concerns." His father specialized in Indigenous Psychology and they lived and worked with several Native American communities. His deepest joy has been to continually learn about various aspects of Indigenous Epistemologies: particularly spiritual wisdom​ around health and medicine, from ​some ​Indigenous friends and confidantes among Native American, Pacific, Maori and Aboriginal communities. He has a deep passion for translating essential elements of those spiritual understandings for himself, his children and for those of other cultures.
