What creates a great doctor? Surgeon and gynecological oncologist Babak Edraki says that it’s purity of intention, maximal effort and the love the physician feels for his or her fellow human beings—and for society. It requires self-awareness and being a positive agent for social and spiritual transformation. Asking ourselves about the nobility of our actions brings a great sense of purpose to our lives, and ultimately heals the patient and the doctor.
